Responsibilities of the Board

PEER Services is managed by a volunteer board of directors. The Board is responsible for determining our mission and purpose and for periodically reviewing them to ensure that our programs and activities fit with our mission. The board also ensures effective planning for the agency by working to secure adequate resources for PEER Services to fulfill our mission. In addition, the board provides budgetary oversight and ensures that proper financial controls are in place to meet all legal guidelines. The Board is ultimately responsible for ensuring that PEER Services is a good steward of the philanthropic funding we receive. Board members also serve as ambassadors for PEER Services in the community by helping to articulate our mission, goals, and accomplishments in order to garner and maintain community support.

PEER Services accepts new board members on a rolling basis. We are currently looking for individuals with experience in community engagement, branding, marketing, technology, finance, and development. Interested individuals should contact Development Director Anne Brown at abrown@peerservices.org. Individuals are elected to a three-year term and may be re-elected.
