The Staff Therapist – IOP Facilitator is a member of the SUD Treatment Program, and reports to the SUD Treatment Program Director. The Staff Therapist – IOP Facilitator will primarily be responsible for facilitating and leading IOP Groups. They will provide services to clients with substance use disorders, dual-diagnosed clients, and clients with legal involvement. The caseload for this position focuses primarily on adult cases but also may be staffed with adolescent and families. Additional responsibilities will include providing individual psychotherapy, and support services, including appropriate case management functions by the client’s treatment plan and goals. The Staff Therapist will conduct Intake and Assessment/Treatment Planning for new clients and may perform alcohol/other drug evaluations. This position may act as the liaison between PEER Services and outside resources when authorized by the client and/or the program. Full-time position requiring evening and some weekend availability.
Job Duties
- Facilitate IOP groups for a total of 10 hours per week.
- Maintain caseload of individual Clients.
- Complete timely, accurate, and appropriate treatment planning and review, progress notes, drug test results, and record closings. Collect and record data for grants, reports, and ongoing quality improvement.
- Ensure the SUD Treatment Program Director is kept abreast of all aspects of the program and services. Offer suggestions that support program development and improved services.
- Participate as a team member and use the interdisciplinary team to provide quality services for clients. Fill in for SUD Program staff as needed.
- Understand and follow the highest ethical standards and confidentiality laws as required of the position.
- Maintain good communication and collaborative relationships with community referring agencies to formulate appropriate collaborative intervention strategies
- Build and maintain strong, positive, working relationships with PEER staff, supervisors and program partners.
- Maintain current knowledge of substance use treatment and interventions by participating in ongoing continued education and training opportunities.
- Meet program and professional goals as defined in collaboration with the SUD Treatment Program Director. Maintain licensure and certification.
- Support PEER Services fundraising and community events. Attend and participate in organizational, program, and team meetings and activities.
- Complete annual and other trainings as required by DHS/SUPR, The Joint Commission, funders and other regulatory bodies.
- Complete special projects and other duties as assigned by the SUD Treatment Program Director.
- Maintain a 65% caseload
Classification, Compensation, Work Schedule, and Benefits:
- This is a regular, full-time, exempt, 40 hours per week position.
- Compensation is $53K – $63K annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Work hours will be based on the needs of the program and staff availability. Option to work remote one day per week after trial period.

- Clinicians receive weekly supervision towards their licensure.
Qualifications:
- Either a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling or other related field with licensure obtained within 90 days and 1-2 years of experience (including internships) OR CADC licensure with 3-5 years of experience
- Understanding and a commitment to Harm Reduction and Trauma-Informed Care.
- Working knowledge of alcohol and other drug pharmacology.
- Must be flexible and adaptable and able to adjust work schedules, as needed.
