PEER Services provides low- or no-cost services for all
Public Insurance
We accept Medicaid, All Kids, and FamilyCare, and we accept Medicare for certain treatment services.
Private Insurance
We are a preferred provider for Blue Cross/Blue Shield and work with most insurance plans in Illinois. We encourage you to check your plan’s benefits for outpatient substance use treatment.
Sliding-Scale
Treatment scholarships are available based on family income and number of people supported by that income.
PEER Services is a preferred in-network provider for Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Illinois. We also accept other major insurance that covers outpatient drug treatment. We encourage families to review their policies or consult with their insurance carrier. Please check that we accept your insurance before making an appointment.
At PEER Services no one is ever turned away from treatment due to an inability to pay.
For individuals who do not have private or public insurance benefits for outpatient substance use care and believe that fees would be a barrier to getting help, PEER Services provides full or partial treatment scholarships. Scholarships are based on a family’s income, the number of people supported by that income and any extraordinary circumstances including other medical conditions, unemployment that may impact an individual’s or family’s ability to pay for treatment. We are grateful to all of our donors who help to support our treatment scholarship fund.
